5-Minute Homemade Peanut Butter

Peanut butter is one of those magical foods that can turn a boring slice of toast into a delicious, protein-rich snack. Making it at home takes just five minutes and offers a fresh, preservative-free alternative to store-bought versions.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups roasted, unsalted peanuts
  • Pinch of salt
  • Drizzle of honey
  • 1–2 tsp peanut or vegetable oil for creaminess

Equipment

  • Food processor or high-speed blender
  • Airtight jar
  • Spatula

Method
 

  1. Roast Your Peanuts (if not pre-roasted): Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
  2. Blend: Add peanuts to food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Scrape: Occasionally stop and scrape down the sides.
  4. Customize: Add salt, honey, or oil to taste. Blend again.
  5. Store: Transfer to a clean airtight jar and refrigerate.

Notes

  • Add cocoa or cinnamon for a flavor twist.
  • Chunky version: Set aside some chopped peanuts and stir in at the end.
  • Will last 2–3 weeks in the fridge.
